Year 2 Practicum Placements

By the end of the year Year 2 students will have completed 90 hours of intensive classroom integration and instructional support in professional settings.

Read Across America

Fall Classroom Activities

Year One students designed and managed seasonal academic activities that foster a collaborative classroom atmosphere.

Valentine’s Activities

Year One and Year Two students worked in collaboration to plan and execute Valentine theme focused games, crafts, and activities to strengthen student relationships and school culture.

PBIS Reward Activities

Year One students supported school-wide positive behavior initiatives through reward facilitation in the form of student designed games, crafts, and activities for the winning classes.

CPR/first aid training
Saint Vincent University Tour

All Seniors received certification in CPR and First Aid

Students toured Saint Vincent University.   While at the University they were able to spend time with professors and students from the Education Department and were able to participate in some hands-on activities. 

University of Pittsburgh- Greensburg Campus Tour

Students toured the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg Campus where they also sat in on an education class and a special education class.

PennWest California Tour

Students toured Penn West California and were able to spend time with current education students. 

Seton Hill University Tour

Students toured Seton Hill University.   The tour included being able to participate in an education course and have lunch with education professors. 

Clairview School Tour

Aspiring Educators toured Clairview School where they sat in on numerous classes including Emotional Support, Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, and Life Skills.
